Vestmark / PortfolioOne Technical Business Analyst


Contract | Hybrid – Boston, MA or San Francisco, CA | 2–3 days onsite

We’re hiring a senior Technical Business Analyst / Platform SME to support a complex migration from a highly customized legacy Vestmark environment to PortfolioOne.

This person will work closely with business, operations, data, and platform teams to understand the current environment, analyze customized extracts and downstream data flows, and translate business needs into clear configuration and migration requirements.


What You’ll Do

  • Analyze legacy Vestmark configurations, customized extracts, interfaces, and downstream dependencies
  • Compare standard and customized data outputs to identify transformations and undocumented logic
  • Translate business and operational requirements into detailed platform configuration requirements
  • Support product mapping, data conversion, migration planning, and implementation activities
  • Partner with business users, operations teams, technical stakeholders, and external platform resources
  • Help document current-state data flows, system behavior, and target-state requirements


Required Experience

  • Hands-on experience with Vestmark, VestmarkONE, PortfolioOne, or a legacy Vestmark environment
  • Experience supporting platform configuration, implementation, migration, or conversion initiatives
  • Experience analyzing customized extracts, data mappings, interfaces, and downstream data flows
  • Strong business analysis and communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical and nontechnical teams


Nice to Have

  • Legacy Vestmark 8.x experience
  • Vestmark-to-PortfolioOne migration experience
  • UMA, SMA, overlay management, or managed-account platform experience
  • SQL, source-to-target mapping, product mapping, or data lineage experience
  • Asset management or wealth management background


This is a contract opportunity requiring 2–3 days per week onsite in either Boston or San Francisco.
