Position Title: Product Development Associate 

Position Overview: 

In this role, the Product Development Associate will have a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the growing dietary supplement industry while supporting key aspects of product development and production. This entry-level role blends project coordination and hands-on technical work, providing you with the opportunity to contribute to the development and production of high-quality dietary supplements. You will be involved in product formulation, customer communication, and ensuring projects meet key milestones from development through production.   

Objectives & Responsibilities: 

  • Work closely with internal teams (R&D, production, quality assurance) and external customers to support project timelines, goals, and customer needs.  
  • Product Development Support: Assist in benchtop experiments, helping to generate samples and formulate new dietary supplements.  
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and hygienic laboratory environment to promote safe and effective research and development.  
  • Assist in the formulation of dietary supplements, such as capsules and powders, ensuring they meet customer specifications and industry standards.  
  • Serve as a point of contact for customers, providing updates on the progress of projects and handling inquiries throughout the development and production.  
  • Help identify opportunities for product and process improvements that enhance product quality while optimizing cost efficiency.  
  • Follow all safety protocols and industry guidelines in the development and production process.  
  • Follow all company safety guidelines, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to safe work practices.  
  • Assist with technical support during production, ensuring processes are followed and standards are met.  
  • Participate in cross-training and support team development efforts to improve overall department function.  
  • Assist with documentation related to product formulations, experiments, and production processes.  
  • Ensure products meet required quality standards by assisting with quality control processes and testing.  

Skills & Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in food science, nutrition, biology, or a related field preferred.  
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or laboratory settings is a plus, especially in dietary supplements or food products.  
  • Familiarity with basic laboratory techniques, formulation processes, and research methods.  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with team members and customers.  
  • Ability to identify potential challenges and work proactively to find solutions.  
  • Attention to Detail: Ensure precision in every aspect of the work, from formulation to customer specifications.  
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment, working with diverse populations.  
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).  
  • Willingness to learn new processes and adapt to changing tasks and work environments.
