Experienced residential HVAC tech? Our technicians average $45–$55/hour effective ($90K–$115K+ annually) — and unlike most shops, we'll show you the full written pay plan, line by line, in your first interview.

Advanced Air Conditioning + Heating is a locally owned, NATE-certified HVAC company serving Cedar Park, Leander, Georgetown, Round Rock, Pflugerville, and the greater Austin metro (TACLA77365E). We've earned a 4.9-star reputation by doing things right — honest diagnostics, quality repairs, and real options for customers instead of pressure. We're a small, tight-knit team, and we're intentional about who we add to it.
How the Pay Actually Works
This is performance-based pay with real, published numbers — not a mystery formula:
  • 20% commission on repairs you sell and complete — capacitors, motors, boards, thermostats, and everything in between
  • 3% commission on full system replacements you turn over to our Comfort Advisors — they close it, you still get paid
  • Flat rate on the service items commissions don't cover — maintenance visits, warranty work, training, meetings, etc.
  • Service-call fees stack with commission — you earn the diagnostic fee and the repair commission on the same visit
  • Overtime calculated on your full earnings — commissions and spiffs included in the rate, not just base pay (RROP)
  • PTO paid at your average effective rate — if you earn like a $50/hr tech, your time off pays like it too

What You'll Do
  • Run residential HVAC maintenance, service, and repair calls with accuracy and professionalism
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues and explain findings in plain English
  • Present repair vs. replacement options straightforwardly — real choices, not pressure
  • Document work thoroughly in ServiceTitan
  • Represent Advanced Air Conditioning + Heating with the same care you'd bring to your own home

What You Bring
Required:
  • TDLR ACR technician registration in good standing (you'll work under our contractor license)
  • EPA 608 certification (Universal preferred)
  • 2+ years hands-on residential service and repair experience — this is not an entry-level role
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen
  • Physical readiness for Texas summers: attics, crawlspaces, rooftops

Bonus points:
  • TDLR Certified Technician or Contractor License
  • Experience with American Standard / Trane equipment and communicating thermostats
  • Comfort presenting good/better/best options to homeowners
