Advanced Air Conditioning + Heating is a locally owned, NATE-certified HVAC company serving Cedar Park, Leander, Georgetown, Round Rock, Pflugerville, and the greater Austin metro. We've built a 4.9-star reputation by doing things right — honest diagnostics, quality repairs, and treating every customer like a neighbor. We're a small, tight-knit team and we're intentional about who we add to it.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for an experienced residential HVAC technician who is ready to make a move — not someone testing the waters or looking for a counteroffer. This is a performance-based pay position, and we're transparent about that upfront. Our technicians currently average $45–$55 effective per hour through a combination of base pay, commissions, and spiffs. If that structure motivates you, you'll thrive here. If you're looking for flat hourly regardless of output, this likely isn't the right fit — and that's okay.

What You'll Do

• Perform residential HVAC maintenance, service, and repair calls with accuracy and professionalism
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant system issues and communicate findings clearly to customers
• Present repair and replacement options in a straightforward way — we believe in giving customers real choices, not pressure
• Document work orders thoroughly and maintain clean service records in our field management system
• Represent Advanced Air with the same integrity and care you'd bring to your own home
• Collaborate with a small, experienced team that has your back in the field

What You Bring

Required:

• Valid Texas HVAC license (TDLR) or reciprocal licensure in good standing
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• EPA 608 certification
• Hands-on residential service and repair experience — this is not an entry-level role
• Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen
• Physical stamina for the demands of Texas summers: attics, crawlspaces, rooftops, and everything in between

Preferred:

• Experience with smart/connected HVAC systems and communicating thermostats
• Familiarity with American Standard or Trane equipment
• Comfort presenting good/better/best options to homeowners

Pay Structure

This is performance-based pay — we're upfront about it because it matters. You'll earn base pay on service and maintenance calls plus commissions and spiffs tied to sales performance and customer satisfaction. Our experienced technicians average $45–$55 per hour effective rate.

If you're a skilled tech who takes pride in your work and communicates well with customers, this structure rewards you directly. Weekly pay, overtime eligibility included.
