NOTE: This is a seasonal part position now through October. Hours scheduled will be less than 29 hours per week. We are flexible with any school schedules; summer activities; or other jobs you may have. There are opportunities for additional commission and tips.

Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Bike Tour Guide to lead engaging and informative tours for our guests. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for sharing local history, culture, and attractions while providing exceptional customer service. As a Tour Guide, you will be responsible for creating memorable experiences that educate and entertain visitors. Other responsibilities include guiding groups on bikes; retail desk check in, ticket sales, tour upsells, bike facility operation; and activities as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct guided tours of various locations providing insightful commentary
  • Communicate effectively with diverse groups of people
  • Educate guests on the historical significance, cultural relevance, and facts
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills by managing group dynamics
  • Utilize time management skills to adhere to scheduled tour times
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries
  • Perform safety checks and ensure compliance with all safety protocols
  • Operate tour and bike desk check in desk as needed
  • Upsell tours and activities
  • Check in Guests; provide helmets; entire set up; safety spiels
  • Ferry Ticket Sales Desk

Experience

  • Bike Tour Experience is required with a strength in San Francisco History
  • Previous experience in a tourism customer-facing role
  • Strong public speaking skills with the ability to engage audiences of varying sizes.
  • Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are highly desirable
  • Proven ability to educate others in an engaging manner,
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
