$130,000 + based on experience We are seeking a Data Scientist in support of the Global Command and Control System (GCCS) contract. Our client specializes in C5ISR services, DoD systems integration, business analytics, and the modernization of wired and wireless government networks. They provide professional services and technical expertise in mobile/edge computing (deployable 5G), systems engineering, cybersecurity, data migration and storage, software development (DevSecOps), and process improvement. POSITION OVERVIEW • Support will be provided to the Air Combat Command, Office of the Command Surgeon (ACC/SG), in the development, sustainment, and analytical exploitation of medical readiness data products. • This position is dedicated to enterprise data engineering, advanced analytics, and decision-support product development across all ACC Numbered Air Forces (NAFs) and Direct Reporting Units (DRUs). ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPOSIBILITIIES
• Design, develop, deploy, and sustain data pipelines, dashboards, and analytic products using ACC/SG-utilized platforms including but not limited to Palantir Foundry/Envision, Advana, Power BI, and Tableau.
• Develop, document, and maintain Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), user interfaces (UIs), and Structured Query Language (SQL) data models supporting ACC/SG readiness, occupational health, and force health protection mission areas.
• Perform statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine-learning workflows on medical and personnel readiness datasets to support ACC/SG decision-making.
• Ingest, transform, and validate data from authoritative DoD/AF source systems (e.g., MHS GENESIS, DMHRSi, ASIMS, MRDSS, AFMRA data marts) across NIPR and SIPR environments.
• Produce written technical documentation, data dictionaries, and end-user training materials for delivered analytic products.
• Provide technical consultation and briefings to ACC/SG leadership, staff, and supported wing medical units.
• Coordinate with Task 6 (ACC Readiness System Data Scientist) personnel to ensure data product interoperability and avoid duplication of effort.
Experience: • 3 years of demonstrated experience designing, building, and sustaining data pipelines and analytic products in an enterprise environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Palantir Foundry and/or Envision, including ontology design, pipeline authoring, and Workshop/Quiver application development.
• Demonstrating proficiency with SQL (T-SQL, PL/SQL, or equivalent) and at least one general-purpose programming language used for data science (Python or R).
• Demonstrated experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs and building user interfaces (UIs) for analytic delivery.
• Demonstrated experience with data visualization platforms (Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent). EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Information Systems, or a closely related quantitative discipline.
• CompTIA IAT Level II Certification (Security + preferred) SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS • Active DoD security clearance WORKING CONDITIONS
