Financial Coach

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Financial Coach with a background in banking, consumer finance, lending, credit, financial education, wealth management support, or a related financial services field.

The ideal candidate is an engaging educator, exceptional presenter, and skilled coach who is passionate about helping others improve their financial well-being. This individual must be comfortable presenting to audiences ranging from small groups to large classrooms and executive leadership teams, while also conducting one-on-one coaching sessions.

This is not a sales position. The Financial Coach serves as a trusted educator, trainer, and guide, helping participants understand financial concepts and develop practical strategies to achieve their financial goals.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Coaching & Education

  • Conduct one-on-one financial coaching sessions.
  • Develop personalized financial action plans and recommendations.
  • Educate clients on budgeting, cash flow management, debt reduction, savings strategies, credit improvement, investing fundamentals, retirement planning, and wealth-building concepts.
  • Help clients identify financial obstacles and develop realistic solutions.
  • Provide ongoing support and accountability to help clients achieve their financial goals.

Training & Facilitation

  • Facilitate financial wellness workshops and seminars both virtually and in person.
  • Deliver engaging presentations to audiences ranging from entry-level employees to senior executives.
  • Conduct train-the-trainer sessions and educational workshops.
  • Represent BCH at conferences, client events, and professional engagements.
  • Adapt presentation style and content based on audience needs and learning styles.

Content Development

  • Create professional PowerPoint presentations and participant materials.
  • Assist with developing financial education content, workbooks, handouts, and training resources.
  • Contribute ideas for new educational programs and curriculum enhancements.
  • Ensure all educational materials remain accurate, relevant, and engaging.

Client Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for client organizations.
  • Manage assigned client accounts and support program delivery.
  • Generate and analyze program usage reports and participant outcomes.
  • Collaborate with internal team members to ensure exceptional client experiences.

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in banking, consumer lending, mortgage lending, credit unions, financial coaching, financial education, personal finance, wealth management support, or a related financial services field.
  • Strong knowledge of personal finance principles and consumer financial behavior.
  • Experience discussing topics such as budgeting, credit, debt management, saving, investing, retirement planning, and financial goal setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to explain complex financial concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Financial Planning, Education, Communications, or a related field.

Preferred

  • Experience facilitating workshops, seminars, or classroom instruction.
  • Experience creating educational content and training materials.
  • Experience interpreting and discussing credit reports.
  • Experience working with adult learners and professional audiences.
  • Financial industry certifications are a plus.
