Job description

Position Summary: The General Maintenance Technician I completes assigned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance repairs. This is an entry-level role supporting facility maintenance. Assists with PMs, basic plumbing, drywall patching, painting, and flooring. Follows safety, LOTO, and SOPs.

Required:
Must be 18 years of age or older 
No experience required and on the job training provided 
No high school diploma, GED or college degree required

Preferred:
1-3 years of similar work experience

Responsibilities:

Co-assigned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance repairs requiring knowledge with basic plumbing, drywall patching, painting, flooring, electrical, instrumentation, HVAC and other equipment, systems or structures. 

Independently executes multi-trade maintenance supporting asset reliability.

Ensure repairs and maintenance to all equipment and facilities including but not limited to replacing faucets, unclogging drains, simple fixture installations (patching drywall, small touch-up painting, replacing sections of flooring such as tile).

Assist with roof repairs (small leaks), minor general repairs (door adjustments, tightening fixtures, clearing drains), ability to work safely from lift as needed.

Respond to spills and other emergency situations, performing janitorial and maintenance tasks as necessary. 

Troubleshoots plumbing and facility issues, medium projects, and provides task guidance.
