What You'll Do

Service Technician Responsibilities

As a Service Technician, you'll play a critical role in maintaining vehicle health while creating exceptional customer experiences.

  • Perform oil changes and filter replacements 

  • Check and communicate oil levels and vehicle conditions to teammates 

  • Inspect and refill vehicle fluids as needed 

  • Verify proper tire pressure and perform basic tire inspections 

  • Complete multi-point vehicle inspections 

  • Install oil drain plugs and filters according to manufacturer standards 

  • Lubricate vehicle components as needed 

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area 

  • Deliver outstanding customer service with every interaction 

  • Produce Video messages to send to customer with estimates

Service Technician Responsibilities

As a Service Technician, you'll diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicles while helping customers keep their vehicles operating safely and efficiently.

Vehicle Diagnostics & Repair

  • Perform work outlined on repair orders in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards 

  • Diagnose vehicle concerns using advanced diagnostic equipment 

  • Repair and maintain engine, transmission, electrical, suspension, steering, brake, and HVAC systems 

  • Test-drive vehicles and verify repairs 

  • Perform warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications 

  • Maintain accuracy and efficiency while meeting productivity goals 

Customer Communication & Teamwork

  • Communicate directly with Service Advisors regarding repair recommendations 

  • Provide accurate estimates for additional repairs when needed 

  • Help ensure customers understand vehicle needs and repair timelines 

  • Collaborate with Parts and Service teams to maximize efficiency 

Shop Operations

  • Properly operate diagnostic equipment, tools, and shop machinery 

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment 

  • Stay current on manufacturer training, repair procedures, and emerging technologies
