(FULL-TIME)

POSITION TITLE: Body Shop PAINT PREPPER

DEPARTMENT: Body Shop

REPORTS TO: Body Shop Manager


PURPOSE:

The Body Shop Painter will be responsible for all work assigned to him by the Body Shop Manager, and Assistant

Body Shop Manager, and for the maintenance and care of his equipment and supplies.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Answer phone or assist walk-ins as needed.

Maintenance of Body Shop work areas and equipment.

Maintaining a clean work environment in Body Shop.

Detailing of vehicles for delivery.

Basic preparation of vehicles and parts: e.g. sanding, taping, edge painting and polishing.

Dismantling of vehicles and parts, reassembly of same.

All technical work to be performed by hand, electrical or pneumatic tools.

Assist technicians.

Removal of debris and damaged parts for proper disposal. Warranty parts to be returned to Parts Dept.

OTHER DUTIES:

Drive customers to work and home as required.

Ensure that working areas are kept clean.

Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be 21 years old or older.
  • High school diploma or the equivalent.
  • General mechanical skills.
  • Valid Texas Drivers License
  • Must Pass a Drug Test Screening - Must Pass a background check. Â
