Job description

Position Summary:

The IT Coordinator provides first-level technical support to employees across LCI while assisting in the maintenance and administration of the company's IT infrastructure. This role supports end users in a fast-paced aerospace Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) environment, ensuring technology systems remain reliable, secure, and available to support production, engineering, quality, and administrative operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level IT professional seeking to develop technical skills while supporting mission-critical business operations in a regulated aviation environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-level technical support for desktop, laptop, printer, mobile device, and peripheral issues.
  • Respond to IT help desk requests, troubleshoot hardware and software problems, and escalate complex issues when necessary.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows-based workstations and standard business applications.
  • Set up new employee accounts, computers, and system access in accordance with company procedures.
  • Assist with user account administration, password resets, and access permissions using Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
  • Support network-connected devices including printers, scanners, conference room equipment, and mobile devices.
  • Perform routine hardware installations, upgrades, and equipment replacements.
  • Maintain accurate IT asset inventory and equipment records.
  • Assist with software updates, security patches, antivirus monitoring, and system maintenance.
  • Support IT projects including hardware deployments, office moves, and system upgrades.
  • Document technical issues, resolutions, and standard operating procedures.
  • Follow company cybersecurity policies and help promote information security awareness.
  • Work closely with internal departments to minimize system downtime and ensure business continuity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, or Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and technical experience.
  • 0–2 years of experience in an IT support, help desk, or technical support role.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office 365.
  • Familiarity with computer hardware, printers, networking fundamentals, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with AvSight, Quantum ERP, a plus.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, aerospace, or aviation environments.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

  • Combination of office and production floor environments.
  • Bending at the waist, sitting, kneeling, climbing, walking, etc., as job may require.
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and working in a fast-paced environment.
