Job Description

Maintains an 85 server virtualized (VMWare) environment utilizing Dell server and storage hardware. Monitors the environment using SolarWinds (and other tools) to ensure adequate capacity and identify issues before they lead to service outages, performs troubleshooting, software upgrades on servers. Change activity performed within a structured change / problem management environment. Some off hours work to support change activity to production servers. Interfaces with applications, network support, and Help Desk as needed.
DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Check system monitoring service to ensure server environment is fully functional.
Confirm back-ups completed successfully.
Investigate infrastructure issues escalated to you from help desk and tier 2 and those discovered during system checks.
Work on assigned projects that update server infrastructure.
Perform other duties as requested.
REQUIRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
Windows Server Administration
Active Directory Administration, including ADFS.
VMWare
Dell hardware support, including SAN and server.
PREFERRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
