Position Summary

The Dietary Cook (Part-Time) at Marion Assisted Living is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals in accordance with planned menus, dietary requirements, and food safety standards. This role ensures that every meal served at Marion Assisted Living reflects our commitment to resident satisfaction, health, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals according to menus and standardized recipes at Marion Assisted Living
  • Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with dietary restrictions and special diets (low sodium, diabetic, etc.)
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation at Marion Assisted Living
  • Follow all sanitation, safety, and infection control procedures
  • Assist with food prep, portioning, and serving meals to residents
  • Ensure proper food storage, labeling, and rotation (FIFO)
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment at Marion Assisted Living
  • Work collaboratively with the dietary team to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • Assist with inventory and notify leadership of supply needs
  • Support special events and resident dining experiences at Marion Assisted Living
