Location: Lincoln, NE

What Matters Most
  • Annual base salary of $70000 - $90000 per year
  • Opportunity to join a rapidly growing electrical contracting organization

  • Chance to build a strong accounting foundation while gaining deep exposure to project-based accounting
  • High-visibility role working closely with the Controller and CFO
Job Description
This growing organization is experiencing rapid expansion within one of its core divisions and is taking a proactive approach to scaling its accounting team. This Staff Accountant role is designed for an entry-level to early-career accountant who is eager to learn, willing to roll up their sleeves, and excited by the opportunity to grow alongside the business.

In the near term, this role will focus heavily on transactional and project-related accounting work as the team works through increased volume and the continued stabilization of a recent ERP implementation. Over time, the scope of the role is expected to expand as systems mature and the business continues to scale, offering meaningful upward mobility for the right individual.
This is not a senior role today — but it is a strong launching point for someone who wants to develop into a well-rounded accounting professional with long-term Controller-level potential.

Responsibilities
  • Support day-to-day transactional accounting activities during a period of accelerated growth
  • Assist with project accounting functions, including billing and cost tracking
  • Help manage accounting workflows impacted by recent system implementation changes
  • Contribute to process improvement and documentation as systems and procedures evolve
  • Partner closely with the Controller to support month-end and ongoing accounting needs
  • Learn the business deeply through hands-on exposure across accounting operations
What We’re Looking For
  • Degreed accountant (Accounting or related field) with a solid foundation of experience
  • Comfortable starting in a transactional and project-heavy environment
  • Skilled in MS Excel & perhaps some experience with AI Automations
  • Strong learning agility and growth mindset
  • Willing to work through ambiguity and high-volume periods without feeling boxed in
  • Interest in long-term growth into broader accounting responsibilities and leadership
Your New Organization
This organization is a well-established electrical contractor with a strong reputation for quality work and long-term client relationships. Leadership is intentionally investing in people, systems, and infrastructure to support continued growth, with a clear focus on getting ahead of demand rather than reacting to it.
Your Career Partner
The Reserves Network, a veteran-founded and family-owned company, specializes in connecting exceptional talent with rewarding opportunities. With extensive industry experience, we are dedicated to helping you achieve your professional goals and shine in your field. The Reserves Network values diversity and encourages applicants from all backgrounds to apply. As an equal-opportunity employer, we foster an environment of respect, integrity, and trust in every aspect of employment.

The base salary range for this position is $70000 - $90000, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
