Exec Director at Boston School of Music Arts, Singer, Music Educator, Voice Over Actor

Boston School of Music Arts is a vibrant music school in Dorchester, MA that has been offering music lessons and classes to families for over 15 years. The school has a proven record of student success, specifically in performance, with an excellent staff and faculty. They offer private music lessons in various instruments and a strong young children’s music program, and group classes and programming.

Role Description

Boston School of Music Arts is seeking to hire a Piano Faculty member (up to 30 hours per week) for on-site teaching. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting private and small group piano lessons to students of all ages (3 1/2 and up) and levels, as well as small ensembles. They will work with the Director of Music to maintain an organized curriculum and prepare students for recitals and other performances. The role is located in Dorchester, MA.

Qualifications
  • Experience teaching piano to beginners and advanced students ages 4 and up
  • Strong classical foundation with a love and appreciation for a range of popular styles
  • A degree in music with a piano focus
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly organized for work with student progress systems
  • Availability to work: Sat 9-4, Sun 12-6, M-Th 2-8 or 9 p.m.
