What are entry level architecture internships?

Entry level architecture internships are short-term positions designed for students or recent graduates who are beginning their careers in architecture. These internships provide hands-on experience in architectural firms, allowing interns to work on real projects under the supervision of licensed architects. Interns typically assist with drafting, model making, research, and other project-related tasks, helping them gain practical skills and understand the workflow of an architecture office. Such experiences are valuable for building a professional portfolio and making industry connections, often serving as a stepping stone to full-time positions.

To thrive as an Entry Level Architecture Intern, you typically need a background in architecture or a related field, with fundamental knowledge of design principles and drafting. Familiarity with technical tools like AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite is highly valued, and some firms may look for proficiency in model-making or rendering software. Strong communication, teamwork, and attention to detail help interns effectively collaborate and learn from experienced architects. These skills and qualities are essential for producing accurate work, integrating into project teams, and building a solid foundation for a future architecture career.
