We are a leading provider of design and construction services specializing in institutional, commercial, and industrial capital projects and maintenance services throughout the state of Michigan. We are seeking an entry level Carpenter Apprentice, or those interested in a hands-on, multi-jobsite environment learning the trade, to become an integral part of our Carpentry Field team to work primarily surrounding our Wyandotte location.
Job Type: Full-time; Hourly
Qualifications:
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Completion of Pre-Employment Background Check, Drug Screen and Physical, Strength Assessment, and Safety Training for Construction Trade
  • Minimal travel required within Michigan .

Education and/or Experience:
  • High School Degree or Equivalent
  • Previous trades training is a plus but not required.

Physical Demands:
  • Prolonged standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling
  • Crouch, crawl, stoop rarely
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision; distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Use of sharp tools and power equipment in working conditions where there is possibility for slip and fall
  • Subject to variable weather conditions inside and outside and/or various terrains
