As an Environmental Field Technician (Apprentice), you'll receive paid, hands-on training while working alongside experienced technicians at an industrial site. You'll learn how to detect emissions, use specialized equipment, and help major facilities stay compliant with environmental regulations.

What You'll Learn & Do
Emissions Monitoring & Field Work
  • Learn to monitor equipment using EPA Method 21
  • Inspect valves, pumps, and components for emissions leaks
  • Tag leaks and support repair tracking
  • Complete assigned monitoring routes within required timelines

Tools, Equipment & Data
  • Use portable analyzers and electronic data collection devices
  • Calibrate equipment and make minor adjustments
  • Upload daily data and assist with emissions reporting

Site Communication & Teamwork
  • Work closely with plant operations and site leadership
  • Communicate daily findings and potential issues
  • Support overall site compliance and performance

Safety First
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE (including respirators)
  • Report hazards, near misses, and incidents
  • Build strong safety habits from day one

What We're Looking For
  • 18+ years old with a high school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to obtain a TWIC card upon hire (TWIC is not required prior to applying)
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Comfortable working outdoors and in industrial environments
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, or similar)

Work Environment
