The Shipping and Receiving/Utility Technician will provide primary coverage for day-to-day shipping and receiving duties as well as supplemental support to skilled texturing specialists in a variety of departments throughout the plant. The role is an entry-level position with an opportunity to learn and grow by enhancing skillsets over time. Tracks for advancement include admittance in the Engraving Apprenticeship program or a single, specialized area, subject to satisfactory performance and development of relevant skill sets.
The position will be reviewed for entry into the Engraving Apprentice Program at around the 6 - 12 month mark, based on performance, interest, and business need
What You'll Do
  • Shipping and receiving: check in tools properly and swiftly, prepping completed jobs to be shipped back to the customer/tool shop
  • Shipping and receiving: assists in areas of package and prep, load, and unload trucks as needed
  • Shipping and receiving: completes customers' paperwork, shipping and receiving paperwork - FedEx, UPS, shippers etc. Ensures timely and accurate data entry into SAP system
  • Operates tool room equipment such as cranes and hi-lows
  • Provides secondary/back-up support in other areas, such as Tool Prep (cleaning and prepping tools) and Laser (loading tools in laser engraving machine), etc.
  • Follows all OSHA safety guidelines, as well as company policies and procedures
  • Communicates problems in a timely manner to Management

What You'll Bring
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2+ years in role with similar requirements
  • Must be able to work a standard 40-hour work week with occasional overtime, including weekends as a possibility
  • Sitting and/or standing for an extended period of time as well as some walking within the facility. Reaching, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling (not an all-inclusive list)
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborative within a team-centered group
