Manufacturing Technicians are responsible for manufacturing, assembly and/or packaging of medical device products. Manufacturing Technicians will be trained and follow standard operating procedures, environmental health and safety guidelines and any other related regulations which could apply to the specific job. Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) will be followed during the manufacturing of our medical devices and associated device documentation. Equipment used by the Manufacturing Technician will depend on the specific job. Perform one or more functions on the assembly lines including but not limited to: washing components or equipment. wrapping components and equipment for sterilization. assembly or gluing of components. packaging and sealing of devices. preparing devices for sterilization. final packaging or labeling of products. Perform daily cleaning of the production area to maintain in GMP fashion. Operate general production equipment (sealers, autoclave, stir plates, etc.) Receive and distribute supplies into the production area as necessary. Adhere to all safety protocols and wear proper safety gear at all times while on the manufacturing or warehouse floor. Maintain reliable attendance. Learn, understand and apply rigorous quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). Complete required training in a timely manner. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications. High School Diploma, GED or equivalent. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred not required for this entry level role. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have basic English written and oral communication skills adequate to communicate with other team members. Understand verbal and written safety and quality instructions and read and comprehend written work instructions including words in English and drawings. Must be able to perform basic mathematics. Work Environment: May require work in a clean room environment wearing special garments and PPE (e.g. scrubs, hair bonnets, frocks, hoods, masks, gloves, safety glasses) based on the Class level for each Clean Room. Overtime may be required at times. Some job duties may be performed on a rotating basis. Physical Requirements: Ability to sit or stand for minimum of 8 hours, with breaks provided throughout the shift. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds individually or up to 65 pounds as part of a team lift. Occasional pushing of carts with product or containers of solutions. Occasional pulling of carts with product or containers of solutions. Repetitive hand motion. Requires frequent object handling. Requires frequent fine hand coordination. Requires frequent simple hand grasping. Requires frequent firm hand grasping. Requirement of 20/25 vision (with or without corrective lenses).
