Job description

Farm Attendant

Seasonal Hourly – Estimated pay range $17.25/hr to $20.13/hr depending on qualifications and experience

Must be at least 18 years and older

Stew Leonard’s, a family-owned and operated fresh food store founded in 1969, has locations in Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey. Stew’s earned its nickname, the “Disneyland of Dairy Stores” because of its country-fair atmosphere, with costumed characters and animated entertainment throughout the store that keep children entertained while parents shop.

Position Description:

 

The Farm Attendant cares for the animals and ensures compliance was health and sanitation regulations at the Stew Leonard’s Little Animal Farm.

 

Your day-to-day:

 

  • Ensure animal corrals are clean of feces
  • Ensures animals are fed and have water
  • Maintain required logs and records for farm maintenance and animal care
  • Report any potential illness to veterinarian or store manager
  • Adhere to all health, sanitation, and safety regulations
  • Assist in other duties, as assigned
