Job Summary:

Provides comprehensive application functionality, configuration and support expertise for application software solutions; works with business analysts, architects, technical experts and software vendors on the solution requirements, design, configuration, functionality gap resolution, implementation, support, maintenance and enhancement of the applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Assists in the analysis and evaluation of application functionality. Documents recommendations to increase utilization of standard application functionality to improve business processes and capabilities. Contributes to the determination and documentation of optimum application setup and configuration to meet functional requirements and specifications. Configures and verifies application setup and configuration. Develops expertise in emerging application and solution trends and functionality. Provides functional recommendations for assigned applications and systems. Contributes to the analysis of potential application solutions, Able to document recommended solutions to address functionality gaps in the application. Works with vendors to improve application functionality and resolve functionality issues. Documents and reviews functional, architecture and technical requirements and designs for process owners, business analysts, and architects. Contributes knowledge and serves as a contact resource for content, processes, procedures and functionality associated with assigned applications for projects and application support (as needed). Documents functional specifications for a given project from which programs and configurations will be applied to create the program, application, or complete solution.Cummins is an equal opportunity employer. Solution Modeling - Creates, designs and formulates models, diagrams and documentation using industry standards, tools, version control, and build and test automation to meet business, technical, security, governance and compliance requirements.
Solution Validation Testing - Validates a configuration item change or solution using the Function's defined best practices, including the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) standards, tools and metrics, to ensure that it works as designed and meets customer requirements.

Education, Licenses, Certifications: 
College, university, or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related subject, or relevant equivalent experience required. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
