Job Description:

Withum's Outsourced Accounting Systems and Services (OASyS) brings clients into the digital age by providing scalable outsourced accounting and finance services that improve a company's workflow and transparency. Withum is seeking accounting majors who will be graduating in the upcoming school year to start with our November 2026 class in East Brunswick, NJ.
How You Will Spend Your Time:
  • Collaborating with Senior Associates, Managers and group Partners to support and balance multiple client needs.
  • Managing bill payments, invoicing and cash receipt applications for clients in a timely fashion.
  • Performing bank and general ledger account reconciliations; investigating and resolving reconciling items.
  • Assisting with monthly, quarterly and annual close processes for clients.
  • Running payroll and reconciling related journal entries.
  • Assisting with setup and implementation of new accounting systems and procedures based on client needs.
  • Assisting with various ad hoc accounting and reporting projects, both client-facing and internal.
  • Effectively and clearly communicating with clients and coworkers across various channels.

The Kinds of People We Want to Talk to Have Many of The Following:

  • Graduating college student pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Excellent interpersonal and computer skills
  • Extensive experience with QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, Expensify, Gusto, Justworks, Xero and Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work well on a team.
  • A highly organized personality with strong attention to detail.
  • A flexible and adaptable attitude to new situations, including learning new software.

For positions in Washington, the compensation for this position ranges from $70,000- $76,000. Final offer amounts are based on multiple factors such as the specific role, hiring location, as well as the individual's skills, experience and qualifications. In addition to the base compensation, Withum offers a competitive benefits package and bonus program (for eligible roles) based on individual and firm performance.
