Job description

Library Buyers is an online book retailer with headquarters based in Vaughan, Canada with one US location in Amherst NY. Our company has been selling on popular websites such as Amazon and AbeBooks for over 8 years. We are technologically minded and have created unique in-house software to seamlessly streamline all aspects of e-retailing such as inventory management, shipping and logistics as well as customer service.

Our Vaughan location serves as a fulfillment center to process, pack and ship outgoing online orders. It also serves as a returns center, an international package forwarding depot and main inventory location.

This is an entry level position that requires working in a fast paced environment.

Here is what you can expect:

  • You will mainly be picking up and dropping off items within southern Ontario
  • Map out driving routes ahead of time to determine most efficient route
  • Carefully loading parcels into work vehicle
  • Pick, pack, and palletize products for shipment
  • Standing for several hours at a time
  • Casual dress, jeans, etc. Closed toe shoes a must

Under the supervision of the Fulfillment Center Manager/ Supervisor the duties and responsibilities of the Driver/ Packer include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Picking up and dropping off inventory from multiple locations
  • Follow all safety rules/codes including traffic laws and alert team lead or management of health and safety concerns.
  • Pick, pack and ship orders in an accurate manner.
  • Unload shipments and sort
  • Inspect goods for defects and damages
  • Organize space in the warehouse and perform end of day duties
  • Notify Warehouse lead of problems that are not resolvable
  • Carry out tasks as assigned by the warehouse team lead or manager
  • Work safely, productively and accurately with minimal supervision
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and respond quickly to changing priorities.

Requirements:

  • Valid Driver’s License (G)
  • Clean driving record
  • Clean criminal record
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Ability to lift 45lbs
