The Opportunity
Are you an organized, detail-oriented professional with a passion for luxury interior design and client service? Kravet is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our fast-paced Washington D.C. showroom team as a Memo Librarian. This full-time, entry-level position plays a vital role in our daily operations, ensuring our sample department runs efficiently and our luxury fabric and home furnishing collections are seamlessly accessible to interior designers. Key Responsibilities
  • Sample Fulfillment & Service: Efficiently fill client sample requests for showroom visits, phone orders, and email inquiries, operating electronic memo shop scanners to ensure pick rates meet company expectations.
  • Inventory & Stock Management: Maintain accurate sample room inventory, keep stocking levels current, process incoming and outgoing memo shipments, and reorder missing materials as needed.
  • Restocking & Returns Processing: Manage memo returns by neatly folding and refiling samples; unpack, fold, box, and integrate new product memos and warehouse replenishment stock into the sample library.
  • Library & Display Maintenance: Maintain sample room presentation by removing discontinued items, condensing shelves and bins, and keeping the book library organized and current.
  • Collaborative Support: Warmly greet clients at the memo desk and interact professionally with designers in person, over the phone, and via email. Maintain a positive, can-do attitude while supporting overall showroom goals and assisting the Showroom Merchandiser with various duties as required.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Education & Background: High School diploma or equivalent required. Education or internship experience in Interior Design or a related field is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with computer systems, including Google Workspace, Microsoft Excel, and Word, with the ability to comfortably operate electronic inventory scanners.
  • Communication & Demeanor: An outgoing personality with a polished, professional appearance and exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organization & Multitasking: Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail, with proven time management ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team Mindset: A goal-oriented, supportive team player with a positive attitude, eager to learn and take on new challenges to support showroom success.
  • Physical Ability: Comfort and ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting boxes up to 30 pounds when handling stock and sample materials.
