Job Description Summary
Grand Rapids facility builds electronic communication components, communication centers, beacon transmitters. These communication parts tell the command center what to do.
As an Electronic Repair Specialist, you will repair electronic assemblies per work order instructions and return the same in a "like new" condition to the customer.
The typical working hours for this position are 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Read and work from rework orders, work instructions, blueprints and verbal instructions.
  • Quote in advance the time necessary to complete a repair job, monitor their time spent on a repair and document their work in an Online Business system.
  • Complete teardown and build-up of a wide variety avionics equipment, the incorporation of Rework Orders, skilled board-level repairs and component replacements ranging from through-hole to ball grid array.
  • Perform limited levels of evaluation of product and repairs, e.g. Fiber Optics inspection, Circuit Board X-Ray evaluation and Resistance checks.

Essential Responsibilities:
In addition, you will:
  • Interface with peers, test technicians, and customer service personnel with minimum supervision.
  • Manage their time between multiple repair activities with minimal supervision.

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Have a High School Diploma / GED.
  • Two years' experience in electronics industry.
  • Demonstrated electronics soldering experience (IPC 610 & J-STD).
  • This position requires U.S. citizenship status.
  • Enhanced computer skills using Microsoft suite of software tools as well as experience with MRP systems.
  • Maintain certified soldering status.
  • This role may encounter high risk or hazardous operations and/or include working shifts beyond a standard workweek. As such, a requirement of the role is to be at least 18 years of age by the time of joining.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
