A chance to directly shape the voice and vision of one of the industry's fastest-growing firms.

About the Role
As a Structural Designer III, you will join our growing structural engineering team and contribute to a
wide range of renewable energy projects. The ideal candidate works under minimal supervision,
applying advanced CAD skills to produce high-quality structural drawings, models, and details. This
role involves collaborating with structural engineers and other disciplines, mentoring junior
designers, and helping maintain CAD standards. You will play a key role in solving design challenges
and ensuring our drawings meet project and code requirements across large- and small-scale solar
(PV), battery storage (BESS), and high-voltage (HV) projects

WHAT YOU'LL DO
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Use Autodesk products to produce structural construction drawings and sheet sets - plan views, sections, elevations, and connection and foundation details - for solar (PV), battery storage (BESS), and high-voltage (HV) projects.
  • Model and detail foundations (driven piles, screw and helical piles, and cast-in-place concrete), overhead steel structures, building envelopes, and non-building structures.
  • Generate foundation bills of material (BOMs) and quantity takeoffs across large project areas, working closely with the civil design team.
  • Work closely with structural engineers to interpret design intent and translate markups into accurate, complete drawings and models.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines such as civil, electrical, and geotechnical to ensure design integration and constructability.
  • Adhere to applicable Client, EPC, Owner, and Utility standards across all drawings and deliverables.
  • Coach and mentor junior designers, and help develop and maintain CAD standards, templates, and design automation.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • An associate or technical degree in drafting/CAD, engineering technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Two or more years of structural or CAD design experience, with strong proficiency in Autodesk products; Excel preferred, and VBA and Python a plus for design automation.
  • Working knowledge of structural detailing for foundations, steel, and concrete, with the ability to produce clean, coordinated construction documents.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively across disciplines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
