This opportunity is an entry level position in a team environment, in which primary responsibilities include preparing drawings with CADD, assist in other aspects of plan preparation such as information gathering and data transfer. Focus of tasks will generally be related to specific Engineering sub-type.

What You'll Do:

  • Assists in the preparation of construction details, design plans, reports, and relevant project related materials utilizing computer aided drafting, design software and various other computer software packages.
  • Transfers information in numerical, written and sketched, or electronic format from sources such as legal descriptions, survey data, aerial photographs and computer files to final plans and maps.
  • Assist in coordinating with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and verify design details according to company standards and best practices.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:

  • Associate of Science in Drafting or Technical School or related, or
  • In lieu education, 2 years of relevant experience

What We Prefer:

  • AutoCAD or MicroStation experience.
  • Ability to utilize mathematics including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
  • Experience working in 3D
  • Experience reading blueprints and technical drawings
  • Interest in transportation, highways, bridges and structures
