Job description

Job Summary

Entry-level Data Analyst with strong SQL skills to support our insurance data and application systems. This role is ideal for a candidate who enjoys working with data, writing queries, and supporting business-critical insurance processes such as policy rating and administration. You will work closely with senior developers, analysts, and business users to ensure accurate, reliable, and compliant data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops, tests, and optimizes SQL queries, views, and stored procedures
  • Contributes to data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks
  • Advises on less complicated data-related issues and production support requests
  • Participates in application enhancements that involve database changes
  • Documents database logic, queries, and data flows
  • Carries out data security, privacy, and insurance compliance standards

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2-4 Years of experience in a similar field 
  • Strong foundational knowledge of SQL (SELECTs, JOINs, subqueries, aggregates)
  • Understanding of basic database concepts (tables, indexes, keys, normalization)
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) concepts

Preferred Qualifications

  • Coursework, projects, or internships involving heavy SQL usage
  • Exposure to stored procedures, functions, and performance tuning
  • Basic programming experience in a language such as C#, Java, or Python
  • Experience with reporting tools or data analysis (Power BI, Excel)
  • Interest in insurance, financial services, or data-driven applications
  • Interest or experience in automation processes and tools, such as Power Automate
  • Familiarity with file transfer software, such as GoAnywhere
