Job description

Overview

The IT Quality Assurance analyst II is responsible for ensuring the quality, stability, and compliance of Salesforce Financial Services Cloud application supporting banking and financial services operations.
This role designs and executes test plans, coordinates defect resolution with development, product and business teams and supports continuous improvement of QA processes for Salesforce FSC and related integrations.


Responsibilities
  • Lead test planning and execution for Salesforce FSC enhancements, releases, and projects, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
  • Develop and maintain detailed test cases, scripts, and test data aligned to business
    requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria in an agile environment
  • Execute manual testing as needed for core FSC capabilities such as financial
    accounts, client data model, households/relationship groups, referrals, and onboarding journeys
  • Validate end-to-end processes across Salesforce FSC and integrated systems (core banking, digital channels, data warehouses, document management, and middleware such as MuleSoft), including APIs and batch processes Log, prioritize, and track defects through resolution, working closely with Salesforce admins/developers, integration teams, and product owners.
  • Perform regression testing for major and minor releases, including smoke/sanity
    testing in lower environments and production validation as needed.
  • Participate in requirements and design reviews to identify testability, quality, and control considerations early in the lifecycle.
  • Help estimate and size testing efforts (functional, regression, integration, and UAT support) as part of agile sprint planning, partnering with QA and Product Owners to ensure the test scope fits team capacity
  • Ensure test coverage for regulatory and compliance-related requirements within the Salesforce FSC solution.
  • Document and maintain QA artifacts (test plans, traceability matrices, execution logs, defect metrics) in alignment with IT quality and SDLC standards
  • Support and improve QA standards, templates, and processes, including contributions to test automation strategy for Salesforce
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to support UAT, provide testing progress updates, and demonstrate tested functionality where needed.
  • Monitor and report key quality metrics to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance experience in a Financial Services organization OR High School Diploma or GED and 6 years of experience in Quality Assurance experience in a Financial Services organization


* Hands-on experience testing Salesforce configurations (page layouts, flows,
validation rules, security model, profiles/permission sets) and custom
Apex/Lightning components
* Familiarity with financial services or banking processes (e.g., retail banking, lending,
wealth or deposits), preferably within a bank, credit union or financial institution.
* Working knowledge of QA tools such as JIRA, Test-Ray, Azure DevOps, or similar for
test and defect tracking.
* Strong understanding of integration testing concepts (REST/SOAP APIs, middleware,
data feeds) and experience validating data across systems.
* Excellent analytical documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to
collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.


Preferred
* Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Administrator or Platform App Builder.
* Experience in regulated environments with strong controls and audit requirements
(banking, financial services, or insurance)
