Create Content That Captures Attention-and Drives Results
GRITR is seeking a creative, motivated Content Creator & Media Specialist to help produce compelling visual content for our growing sports and outdoors business.
This is more than a traditional social media role. You will help create product photography, promotional videos, advertising creative, product demonstrations, and digital assets that support campaigns across Meta, YouTube, Amazon, social media, e-commerce, and other platforms.
We are looking for someone who cares about making content look great but also wants to understand what makes creative content perform.
About GRITR
GRITR is a growing sports and outdoors company based in North Richland Hills, Texas. Our operations include a large firearms retail storefront and shooting range, expanding e-commerce channels, private-label product development, and in-house media production.
As the company grows, we are significantly expanding our internal media capabilities to support product launches, advertising campaigns, marketplace listings, and long-term brand development.
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on creative position for someone who enjoys moving between the studio, filming locations, editing timeline, and campaign-planning process.
You will work closely with our media, marketing, and product development teams to turn ideas into polished, platform-ready content. Your work may include photographing a new product, filming a demonstration, editing a short-form advertisement, developing motion graphics, or adapting a creative concept for several different platforms.
Success in this position is not measured by visual quality alone. The strongest content must also communicate clearly, capture attention, and support measurable marketing and business goals.
What You'll Do
Photography and Video Production
  • Capture high-quality white-background and lifestyle product photography
  • Film and edit promotional videos, product demonstrations, and branded content
  • Produce engaging short-form videos for advertising and social media
  • Plan and execute studio and occasional on-location productions
  • Apply strong lighting, composition, audio, and visual storytelling techniques
  • Occasionally appear on camera when appropriate for the content
Advertising and Platform Content
  • Create advertising-ready assets for Meta, YouTube, Amazon, and other digital platforms
  • Adapt content for different placements, formats, audiences, and campaign objectives
  • Collaborate with the team to test different creative angles, hooks, messages, and formats
  • Support social media content development, posting, and campaign execution
  • Use campaign feedback and performance insights to help improve future creative work
Motion Graphics and Product Creative
  • Develop motion graphics and simple 2D or 3D animations when needed
  • Assist with product renderings, visual callouts, and supporting creative assets
  • Contribute to launch materials for GRITR private-label products
  • Help translate product features and technical information into clear, engaging visuals
Collaboration and Project Execution
  • Work with media, marketing, and product teams to develop and execute campaign concepts
  • Take ownership of projects from initial idea through final delivery
  • Manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines
  • Maintain organized project files and digital asset libraries
  • Ensure final content is accurate, consistent, and ready for its intended platform
What We're Looking For
We are interested in candidates with experience in several of the following areas:
  • Product or lifestyle photography
  • Videography and video production
  • Video editing
  • Advertising creative
  • Short-form social media content
  • Motion graphics or animation
  • Paid social or digital advertising
  • Product-focused e-commerce content

You do not need to specialize in every area. A strong portfolio, creative judgment, willingness to learn, and ability to take projects from production through final delivery are especially important.
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro is required
  • Experience with Photoshop and Illustrator is preferred
  • Experience with After Effects, motion graphics, animation, or 3D tools is a plus
  • Strong understanding of lighting, composition, pacing, and editing
  • Ability to export and optimize content for different digital platforms
Additional Requirements
  • Organized, proactive, dependable, and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable working collaboratively and receiving creative feedback
  • Able to manage deadlines in a fast-moving production environment
  • Comfortable working around firearms in a controlled retail, range, and studio environment
  • Comfortable occasionally appearing on camera
  • At least 18 years old
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Legally eligible to handle firearms in connection with job responsibilities
  • Willing to complete applicable background checks and drug screenings

A portfolio is required. Applications submitted without a portfolio will not be considered.
What We Offer
  • Starting compensation of $21 per hour
  • Comprehensive insurance benefits
  • 401(k) program
  • Paid time off
  • Employee discounts and additional perks
  • A hands-on, in-house production environment
  • Opportunities to expand your skills across photography, video, advertising, and motion graphics
  • Room to grow within a developing media and marketing team
  • The opportunity to directly influence product launches, campaign performance, and brand growth
How to Apply
Please submit your resume and a portfolio featuring relevant examples of your work. Portfolios may include photography, videography, editing, motion graphics, advertising creative, product content, or social media campaigns.
