What you'll do
Are you passionate about performing a variety of administrative contracting support activities in support of a fast-paced growing company? Are you a self-starter that thrives working with highly-motivated people in a dynamic and informal environment?
As a Government Contracts Data Entry Specialist, you will leverage your outstanding administrative skills to support the government contracts department. You will review and enter contractual information into the Oracle business systems post contract award, through an automatic upload process.
You will work with Contracts Administrators and Contracts Managers to assist in creation of contract modifications and distribution. You may also be responsible for populating DD250s and authorizing shipping release request forms in support of product shipments. You may act as a liaison between our Defense Contract Management Agency representative to ensure Government Source Inspection notifications have been provided and DD250s have been signed off for Government acceptance.
Note this is a temporary position
The day-to-day
You will use your problem-solving skills to help resolve shipping and billing issues by interfacing and flowing contractual information to other departments such as Operations and Finance. You will help represent the government contracts department with Oracle order entry-related issues and participate in process improvement initiatives. You may have the opportunity to support process improvement initiatives and other special projects. You will use your organizational skills to prioritize work assignments.
What you'll need
  • 2+ years of administrative experience, preferably in a government contracts-related department.
  • Possess superb organizational skills and have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess superior problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to proactively identify potential administrative issues that could complicate contract fulfillment and propose mitigating solutions.
  • Possess strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to establish a rapport with colleagues and work well in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Experience with Oracle or a similar enterprise ERP system.
  • Ability to work overtime to meet quarterly schedule deadlines.
  • US government position. US citizenship required.
  • AA/AS or equivalent experience

Salary range
$28.37 - $44.71 / hourly. For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $35.1 - $52.88/ hourly
