Job description

Full Stack Developer will be an individual contributor responsible for application development:
  • To collaborate with architecture and design teams on high level design reviews.
  • To create Low-level design (LLD) deliverables.
  • To perform development & unit testing activities.
  • To identify and manage development dependencies
  • To contribute to a culture of quality.
  • To identify issue root causes, triage and resolve defects.
  • To follow and improve development best practices
  • To support in sprint and end to end testing phases
  • To support onboarding of new team members

The developer's technical and functional scope will include analysis, development & unit testing one or more areas of AIG's Standard Commercial Underwriting Platform (SCUP) platform full technology stack, including:
  • User interface
  • Integration
  • Java / Spring business service development.
  • Related transactional data stores.
  • Mulesoft

What we're looking for:
A strong quality-focused individual capable of leading a small team & performing software development:
  • Someone who is able to work independently or collaborate with a team
  • Someone who can effectively communicate with leads, functional and technical team members
  • Someone who strives for continuous improvement of the applications they support

The ideal candidate will have:
  • 4+ years of experience supporting E2E design, development, delivery in the financial services sector.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
  • Hands on insurance domain development & architecture experience
  • Experience with Java full stack application development & architecture implementation expertise
  • Hands on full stack development experience with an emphasis on Java or Angular applications
  • Experience with Duck Creek Policy or equivalent solutions a plus.
  • Working knowledge of cloud computing paradigms, prominent industry design patterns, and agile development methodologies.
