We are seeking resumes for a Senior Environmental Engineer at our Gladstone, VA Riverville Mill.
Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate environmental problems and develop practical, cost-effective solutions, often related to pollution, climate change, and sustainability.
  • Design, test, and implement systems for clean water supply, wastewater treatment, air pollution control, and waste management.
  • Ensure projects and facilities comply with federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations, and help obtain necessary permits.
  • Collect and analyze environmental data to monitor pollution levels, assess environmental impacts, and inform project planning.
  • Interact closely with operations, maintenance, engineering and process control personnel in the accomplishment of assigned tasks.
  • Environmental review of trial plans for process changes and chemical trials.

Basic Qualifications
  • Education - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science
  • Experience - A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a chemical/manufacturing facility

Preferred Qualifications
  • Must possess a strong work ethic and leadership qualities.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple projects and/or requests concurrently.

Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Analytical Skills: Strong capabilities for analyzing data and evaluating scientific information to develop accurate assessments.

  • Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of scientific principles from fields like biology, chemistry, and soil science, in addition to engineering.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
  • Starting salary range for position: $96,000-$120,000.
  • Paid Vacation: Three (3) weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.
  • Paid Holidays.
  • Within the first 30 days of employment, an employee (and their dependents) is eligible to enroll in certain benefit coverages -- medical, dental, and vision - and are automatically enrolled in life, AD&D, and disability coverages.
  • Upon hire, an employee is automatically enrolled in the 401k plan. The plan offers both pre-tax and Roth contribution options along with employer provided matching contributions
