  • Update and maintain the product database to facilitate accurate purchase orders and item maintenance.
  • Perform routine compliance reviews, initiate post-entry amendments, when necessary, track their progress, and secure any applicable refunds.
  • Oversee recordkeeping and audits related to supply chain security programs.
  • Contribute to the creation and ongoing refinement of import compliance guidelines, procedures, and supporting materials.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and help roll out enhancements across your areas of responsibility.
  • Support internal education efforts by delivering training sessions and creating practical compliance tools and resources.
  • Handle administrative tasks for the department, such as organizing data, files, and tracking logs.
  • Assign correct tariff classifications (HTS codes), calculate duty rates, and ensure all relevant regulatory rules are followed.
  • Administer duty preference programs (e.g., free trade agreements) for imported goods and proactively seek ways to reduce duty costs.
  • Review import data for adherence to rules, develop performance metrics, and prepare KPI reports.
  • Take the lead in responding to inquiries or information requests from U.S. Customs or other government agencies.
  • Act as the primary point of contact and expert for designated compliance programs, driving ongoing adherence and enhancements.
  • Serve as a go-to resource for trade compliance questions, independently researching and interpreting regulations, internal policies, and best practices.
  • Partner on cross-functional initiatives-both within the company and with external stakeholders-as needed.
  • Maintain consistent and dependable attendance at your designated work location.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Solid working knowledge of Google Workspace, Microsoft Office suite, and other company-specific tools.
  • Highly detail-focused, with strong analytical and organizational capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting effectively with diverse teams.
  • Proven ability to solve problems, communicate clearly, and take proactive ownership of tasks.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a collaborative team setting with minimal direct oversight.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a relevant field such as international business, supply chain, logistics, or law.
  • Active U.S. Customs Broker License and/or certifications like Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or Certified Export Specialist (CES).
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in customs compliance, import/export operations, international trade, or global supply chain activities, including direct exposure to U.S. import/export regulations and filings.
  • Strong track record of collaborating effectively with colleagues at all organizational levels.
