Overview

The Building Manager II is responsible for overseeing and managing assigned building within contract award. This position is responsible for safely overseeing and performing duties as detailed in the performance work statement or other contracted services. Quality customer service is expected to be provided to the customer at all times. Knowledge and willingness to learn all aspects of the job is a requirement of the position.

Role Requirements

  • Experience:
    • Must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in large volume food service operations, cafeteria-style, or multi-entree services.
    • Must have a minimum of one (1) year of experience supervising or leading teams.
  • Must be able to pass ServSafe Certification or equivalent (example: Preventative Med Food Certification); within 90-days from your GCE start date.
  • Must have intermediate-level computer skills and knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software applications.
  • Must understand oral and/or written instructions and speak and write English fluently.

  • Must rotate workweek hours to ensure observation of all shifts every week.
  • Must interact appropriately with customers, government personnel, and staff members.
  • Must meet eligibility requirements for work assignment on specified contract(s).
  • Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.

Physical Requirements

While performing this job's duties, the team member is regularly required to stand and walk and frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The team member is required to be on his/her feet for extended periods. The team member frequently must squat, stoop or kneel, reach above the head and reach forward. This job will require lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs. and may require occasional lifting and or moving up to 40 pounds. There will be exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures, and the noise level at the workplace is usually moderate.

Most work will take place indoors. Will work with cleaning chemicals. Will be required to follow Emergency Operations Work Assignment per customer requirements. Schedules are subject to change. Will require working early morning, mid-morning, afternoon, and/or evening hours and weekends and holidays.
