SUMMARY OF THE POSITION
The Rigging Technician must prepare & scan rented equipment to orders, as well as QC and perform basic repairs to equipment upon return to inventory. They will also prepare Caddies/Road cases and assist with the loading & unloading of truck on an as needed basis.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • QC and Maintain/Repair Motor Cable, Truss, Motors and related Rigging Hardware on return/fill.
  • Keep the warehouse organized and clean; report any damage or hazards to the Manager.
  • Pull orders for Upcoming Events & Internal Transfers.
  • Perform periodic Inventory counts to help maintain availability.
  • Familiar with Entertainment Rigging & applicable equipment/hardware (Preferred).
  • Prepare, scan, and receive orders in R2 Inventory system. Use of a Laptop & scanner required.
  • Ensure that all equipment to be sent out is in the best working condition possible.
  • Report any equipment damages and/or noted equipment shortages to the Manager in a timely manner.
  • Upgrade items to the current version (e.g. software updates, painting, cleaning, etc.)
  • Follow detailed Rigging Quality Control Protocols, as well as incorporate the Industries general standards and Solotech's exceptional quality standards.
  • Ability to operate a Forlift & Scissorlift.
  • Any and all other duties related to the position as deemed necessary by the Manager/Operations.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION
Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to problem solve in a fast paced environment
  • Thoroughness and attention to detail
  • Well-developed organizational skills

Experience:
  • Less than 1 year of experience in a Live Event Production or Event Rental Equipment setting
  • Less than 1 year of experience in a Warehouse Environment

Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of R2 Inventory software (Preferred, but not required)
  • Knowledge of Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Requirements:
  • Strong Interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate information in a logical and clear manner.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Ability to Self start and prioritize tasks within a fast paced environment on tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change easily.
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Forklift & Scissorlift certification (Preferred); Training to be provided
