About the position
Schulte Companies is seeking anenergetic, charismatic, and hands-on Entertainment Host/F&B Service Associateto join the team atLe Petit Chef Hyatt Herald Square New York, an immersive and interactive dining experience. This unique role combineshospitality, entertainment, food and beverage service, and guest engagement. As a member of the Le Petit Chef team, you will serve as both ahost and performer, guiding guests through an unforgettable culinary journey while also providing attentive table service and beverage support throughout the experience. Aconvincing and entertaining French accentis an essential part of the Le Petit Chef character and overall guest experience. The ideal candidate is confident in front of an audience, enjoys entertaining and connecting with guests, and can seamlessly transition betweenperforming, hosting, serving, and bartending responsibilitieswhile maintaining a high level of professionalism and hospitality.
Requirements
  • Ability to Preform a French Accent is Preferred.
  • Previous experience in acting, live performance, or a similar role in interactive entertainment, theme parks, or immersive dining experiences is preferred.
  • Strong acting skills, with the ability to improvise and interact with guests in a fun, engaging, and professional manner.
  • A high-energy, engaging personality, and professionalism with a natural ability to captivate and entertain diverse audiences.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and a strong sense of comedic timing.
  • A passion for guest interaction and the ability to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere through performance.
  • Ability to seamlessly transition between performing, hosting, serving, and bartending responsibilities.
  • Ability to adapt to dynamic situations and improvise if necessary.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other performers, staff, and management.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Play the role of Le Petit Chef, an animated character, and interact with guests during the dining experience.
  • Create memorable, interactive moments with guests throughout their meal.
  • Actively participate in the restaurant's interactive dining story.
  • Perform with impeccable timing, ensuring the experience flows seamlessly.
  • Tailor interactions to individual guest groups.
  • Work closely with other performers, chefs, and the front-of-house team.
  • Consistently stay in character throughout the performance.
  • Ensure all guest interactions are positive, fun, and respectful.
  • Be flexible and adaptable to changing situations.
  • Help with the setup and breakdown of any required props, equipment, or staging areas.
  • Take Beverage orders before and during show.
  • Seats and takesaccuratefood orders from guests
  • Monitor food distribution, ensuring that meals are delivered to the correct recipients and that food is properly prepared and nicelypresentedand/or the buffet is appealing.
  • Checks station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.
  • Prepare, serve, and present alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established standards.
  • Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulationspertaining toserving alcoholicbeverageto minors and intoxicated guests.
  • Must be familiar with all menu items, their preparation and serviceprocedure.
  • Totalschecks, presents to guests and accept payment
  • Assistswith bussing tables
  • Perform various other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of High School education, post-high school education preferred
  • Minimum of one (1) year in hotel/restaurant serving role
  • Acting, theater, character performance, bartending, or immersive/interactive dining experience highly preferred.
