Join the Team

Bring your cooking skills, energy, and attention to detail to the Delta Center!

As a Hot Prep Cook, you will support the Culinary team by preparing hot food items for game days, concerts, and events. This position is responsible for cooking and preparing menu items according to Levy recipes, food-safety standards, and presentation expectations while helping maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen, takes pride in quality food, and works well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Model and promote Levy’s Family Values: Nice, Innovative, Passionate, and Inclusive.
  • Prepare hot menu items such as grilled items, burgers, sandwiches, entrees, and other cooked foods according to recipes and specifications.
  • Follow proper food-safety, sanitation, hygiene, and workplace-safety standards at all times.
  • Assist with food station setup and breakdown before and after events.
  • Ensure food is cooked to proper temperatures and meets quality and presentation standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, cooking equipment, and kitchen areas.
  • Follow portion-control guidelines, production standards, and chef instructions.
  • Monitor ingredients and supplies and notify supervisors when stock levels are low.
  • Respond quickly to the needs of the kitchen and service team during high-volume periods.
  • Work efficiently and safely in a busy, high-energy event environment.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned based on event and business needs.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Cook, line cook, prep cook, or commercial kitchen experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, food safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional.
  • Ability to work in a noisy, high-energy environment.
  • Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry pots, pans, ingredients, and kitchen supplies as needed.
  • Ability to work a flexible event-based schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must obtain and maintain a valid Utah Food Handler Permit.
