Job description

AccuWeather is searching for an ERP & Business Systems Manager to join its Finance team. Reporting to the Head of Finance, the ERP & Business Systems Manager will be responsible for leading the administration, optimization, governance, and strategic development of AccuWeather's enterprise resource planning and business systems environment.

This role will serve as the primary business systems leader responsible for overseeing ERP-related technology and IT systems that support Finance, Accounting, Operations, Sales, HR, Procurement, Reporting, and other core business functions. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience with ERP platforms, business process improvement, system integration, data governance, workflow automation, and cross-functional stakeholder management.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on systems leader with strong business acumen, technical fluency, and the ability to translate business needs into effective system solutions. Experience with ERP platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and NetSuite is strongly preferred.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

ERP Leadership & Administration

  • Lead the administration, configuration, optimization, and governance of AccuWeather's ERP environment.
  • Serve as the primary owner for ERP-related business processes, system enhancements, user access, permissions, workflows, reporting, integrations, testing, and documentation.
  • Partner with Finance, Accounting, Operations, Sales, HR, and other departments to ensure ERP functionality supports current and future business needs.
  • Oversee ERP-related issue resolution, release management, system upgrades, enhancement requests, and vendor support.
  • Ensure ERP processes support key business functions including procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, record-to-report, budgeting, forecasting, billing, procurement, approvals, and financial reporting.
  • Develop and maintain ERP standards, documentation, controls, workflows, and governance procedures.

Business Systems Oversight

  • Partner with business leaders to evaluate system needs, improve workflows, and identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
  • Ensure business systems are integrated effectively and that data flows accurately across platforms.
  • Support the evaluation, selection, implementation, and optimization of new business applications and technology solutions.
  • Establish best practices for business systems governance, data ownership, system access, change management, and documentation.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of how systems impact financial, operational, and organizational performance.

Process Improvement & Workflow Automation

  • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes, improve data accuracy, reduce administrative burden, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Lead initiatives to improve workflows, approvals, reporting, dashboards, and business processes across departments.
  • Leverage ERP capabilities, integrations, analytics tools, and automation technologies to support scalable business operations.

Reporting, Analytics & Data Governance

  • Partner with Finance, Operations, and business leaders to improve reporting, dashboards, saved searches, KPIs, and analytics.
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accuracy across ERP and related business systems.
  • Develop and enforce data governance practices, including ownership, validation, access control, and reporting standards.
  • Support business users in accessing timely, accurate, and actionable information.
  • Use data and system insights to identify trends, risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.

Training, Support & Change Management

  • Develop and deliver training to ensure effective adoption of ERP and business systems.
  • Support end users with system questions, troubleshooting, process guidance, and best practices.
  • Create documentation, user guides, standard operating procedures, and training materials.
  • Lead change management efforts related to system implementations, workflow changes, and process improvements.
  • Promote a strong user experience and encourage consistent, effective use of business systems.

Risk Management & Controls

  • Ensure ERP and business systems comply with company policies, internal controls, security requirements, and audit standards.
  • Partner with Finance, IT, and other stakeholders to maintain appropriate segregation of duties, approval workflows, and access controls.
  • Identify risks related to systems, data, processes, integrations, and user access, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Support audit requests, compliance reviews, and internal control initiatives as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Operations, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in ERP administration, business systems management, business applications, or related IT/business systems roles.
  • Experience administering or supporting ERP platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, NetSuite, or similar enterprise systems.
  • Strong understanding of business processes across Finance, Accounting, Operations, Procurement, Sales, HR, and Reporting.
  • Experience leading ERP implementations, upgrades, integrations, or post-implementation optimization initiatives.
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable system solutions.
  • Experience with system integrations, workflow automation, reporting tools, dashboards, permissions, roles, and data governance.
  • Strong analytical skills with a process improvement and problem-solving mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • High attention to detail, strong follow-through, and a commitment to operational excellence.
