Position Type: Locum-to-Perm | Physician - Otolaryngology
Overview
Seeking an experienced Otolaryngologist (ENT) for a locum-to-permanent opportunity providing both inpatient hospital coverage and outpatient clinic care. This is a full-scope ENT practice with strong clinical support and high patient volume.
Practice Highlights
  • Full-spectrum ENT services offered
  • Inpatient coverage in Des Moines and clinic coverage in Clive
  • Clinic + hospital-based role
  • High-volume practice (30+ patients/day)
  • Teaching opportunities available
  • EMR: Epic
  • Physician-to-nurse ratio 1:1
  • Ancillary staff 1:1
  • 2-3 exam rooms per provider
  • Central Iowa patient population with outreach areas including Boone County, Indianola, and Pleasant Hill
Schedule & Coverage
  • 36 patient contact hours per week
  • 1.0 FTE
  • Clinic hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Procedure/OR days scheduled based on availability
  • On-call duties required
  • Call shifts for hospital coverage; hourly shifts for clinic
  • Inpatient responsibilities included
Candidate Requirements
  • Board Certified in Otolaryngology - REQUIRED
  • Active IA License or IMLC (LOQ required at name clear) - REQUIRED
  • Must be available full-time - REQUIRED
  • Prior experience required
  • Clean malpractice and background - REQUIRED
  • Must be seeking permanent placement (attestation required for locum-to-perm)
