This role oversees the design and implementation of innovative technologies—including cloud infrastructure, servers, PCs, and multi-GPU environments—to support the company's long-term growth and operational excellence.

As a key member of the executive leadership team, the CTO will build and lead high-performing engineering teams, establish the technical roadmap, and deliver solutions that position Terra Energy at the intersection of renewable energy, AI infrastructure, and distributed computing. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strategic leadership, enabling the company to innovate rapidly while building reliable, secure, and scalable technology platforms.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute Terra Energy's long-term technology strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and future growth.
  • Lead and scale the engineering organization, providing technical leadership, mentorship, and direction across multiple engineering teams.
  • Oversee the design, deployment, and optimization of distributed computing infrastructure, including servers, PCs, and multi-GPU environments.
  • Define the architecture and roadmap for scalable cloud infrastructure, enterprise software, and distributed systems.
  • Drive the successful delivery of multiple technology initiatives while balancing priorities, timelines, and resources.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to identify technology opportunities that improve operational efficiency, customer experience, and business performance.
  • Establish engineering best practices, including software architecture, infrastructure reliability, security, and development standards.
  • Guide technical decision-making through architecture reviews, design discussions, and strategic oversight of engineering projects.
  • Evaluate, implement, and optimize internal software platforms that support finance, operations, sales, and customer experience.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and emerging technologies to enhance business capabilities and operational efficiency.
  • Assess and explore blockchain technologies and decentralized infrastructure solutions where they provide measurable business value.
  • Manage relationships with technology vendors, external development partners, and infrastructure providers.
  • Build a high-performance engineering culture focused on innovation, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all technology solutions are scalable, secure, reliable, and aligned with industry best practices.
  • Stay current with advancements in distributed computing, cloud technologies, AI infrastructure, hardware systems, and enterprise software to maintain Terra Energy's competitive advantage.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, infrastructure, cloud computing, or technology leadership roles.
  • Proven experience leading and scaling engineering organizations in fast-paced, high-growth, or startup environments.
  • Extensive experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud and distributed computing infrastructure at scale.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with servers, PCs, multi-GPU systems, hardware architecture, and infrastructure technologies.
  • Demonstrated success leading multiple engineering teams and delivering complex technical initiatives simultaneously.
  • Deep understanding of distributed systems, cloud architecture, networking, infrastructure reliability, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Experience developing enterprise software and integrating technology solutions across business functions.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to align technology initiatives to business objectives.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience collaborating effectively with executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience building and fostering high-performing engineering teams through mentorship, coaching, and technical leadership.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
  • Ability to work from or relocate to South or Central Florida (Miami preferred).

Preferred
