The Opportunity - Build the Future with Us

Be part of a major construction program in Prince Rupert, BC, supporting the delivery of a complex, highprofile infrastructure replacement project. As a Construction Field Inspector (Intermediate to Senior), you'll play a critical role in ensuring quality, safety, and compliance on site-either by living in Prince Rupert for the duration of the project or by working a 2weeksin / 2weeksout rotation as part of a collaborative field team.

This is an opportunity to contribute directly to a landmark project while building longterm career momentum with WSP.


Your Impact

  • Inspect construction activities to verify compliance with project specifications, drawings, standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor  contractor performance and workmanship across civil, geotechnical, and associated infrastructure scopes
  • Document  field activities through daily reports, photos, deficiency tracking, and progress updates
  • Support health, safety, and environmental compliance on site, promoting a strong safety culture
  • Coordinate with contractors, project managers, engineers, and client representatives to resolve field issues
  • Identify nonconformances and support corrective actions to keep work moving safely and efficiently
  • Contribute to successful project delivery in a northern and logistically complex environment

  • Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 5+ years of progressive construction inspection experience on large, multidisciplinary projects
  • Strong understanding of civil, geotechnical, and infrastructure construction practices
  • Experience working on active construction sites
  • Familiarity with quality control, inspection documentation, and deficiency management
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating within a fieldbased project team
  • Willingness to reside in Prince Rupert or work a 2in / 2out rotational schedule
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet site safety requirements

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $77,400 - $102,500
MB & ON: $70,600 - $97,200
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $69,900 - $92,900
