Job description

Century West Engineering is seeking an engineer to lead stormwater design on aviation and municipal engineering projects throughout Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. You will collaborate with design teams to complete hydrology and hydraulics (H/H) analysis, design stormwater conveyance and treatment solutions, prepare Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs), and supervise the construction of stormwater facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience with storm drains, culverts, stormwater management, low-impact development approaches (LIDA), H/H modeling, environmental permitting, and cost estimating.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan, design, and oversee construction of stormwater infrastructure improvement projects
  • Develop specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports
  • Participate in project development meetings with client teams
  • Mentor designers and engineers-in-training to build a stronger understanding of stormwater design
  • Conduct field inspections

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or appropriate discipline
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Oregon, Washington, or Idaho
  • 5+ years of stormwater design experience
  • Experience with local, regional, and state stormwater manuals
  • Certified Erosion and Sediment Control Lead certification a plus
  • Experience working with Civil 3D, SSA, EPASWMM, HEC-RAS, and HY8
