Job description

DESCRIPTION

Duties: Analyze user infrastructure software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Confer with application and product engineers in order to provide technical solutions for technology programs. Deliver technical solutions in partnership with application and product engineers. Continuously learn new infrastructure technologies to provide up to date technology solutions. Support production technical release windows. Lead a team of engineers in a single location with remote leadership. Occasionally work outside of core business hours to match system downtime and maintenance windows.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Infrastructure Engineer, Database and Devops Engineer, Implementation Specialist, Database Administrator, Infra Technology Specialist, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires five (5) years of experience with the following: Enterprise database technologies including SQL and No-SQL databases, Postgres, EDB PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, Cassandra, and Cockroach; Oracle Exadata for high throughput database operations; services on multi cloud infrastructure including AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, and Private Cloud as a part of Transformation to Public Cloud; DevOps engineering practices providing professional services to business partners in Cloud Migration; data analytics and ETL tools including Informatica and DataBricks to support Data migration to DataLakes; utilizing Kubernetes orchestration tool to deploy applications on Rapid scale with full resiliency; and utilizing Python scripting as part of automation.
