Key Responsibilities:

Project & Technical Coordination

  • Coordinate project priorities and workflows in collaboration with engineers, survey managers, and project managers to support successful project delivery.
  • Support project teams by ensuring resources, timelines, and communication are aligned across disciplines.
  • Assist in proposal preparation, client coordination, and project documentation to support business development and project execution.
  • Partner with technical staff to improve processes that enhance efficiency, quality, and consistency in project delivery.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and support administrative staff, fostering a collaborative, high-performing team environment that supports engineering and project teams.
  • Work closely with engineers and technical staff to ensure operational support aligns with project needs and client expectations.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of staff to strengthen the officeโ€™s capabilities and long-term growth.

Client & Community Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, supporting Project Managers in delivering responsive, high-quality service.
  • Contribute to community engagement efforts and support projects that impact both urban and rural communities across the region.
  • Collaborate with marketing and funding teams to support proposals, funding applications, and community initiatives.

Financial & Operational Leadership

  • Support budgeting, financial tracking, and forecasting to align office operations with project and business goals.
  • Oversee accounts payable/receivable and financial processes to support project and office performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and support long-term office growth.

Office Operations

  • Oversee daily office operations, vendor relationships, and administrative processes to ensure a well-functioning and productive work environment.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and support coordination with HR and accounting teams.
Qualifications:

This role is ideal for a candidate looking to expand their impact beyond technical work into leadership, operations, and community-focused project delivery.

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in civil engineering, construction management, business administration, or a related field required.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred(orability to obtain licensure within six months) candidates with a strong background in engineering, construction, or project-based professional services will also be considered.
  • 10+ years of experience in engineering, construction, or professional services environments, with progressive responsibility in operations, project coordination, or office leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience working alongside engineering or technical teams, supporting project delivery, client coordination, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and support a positive, high-performing work environment.
  • Experience with financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, accounts payable/receivable, or project financial tracking.
  • Strong understanding of project-based workflows, including proposals, contracts, scheduling, and deliverables.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, technical staff, and leadership.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with project management, accounting, or engineering-related software systems.
  • Ability to think strategically, solve problems, and identify opportunities to improve processes and support office growth.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license and ability to travel as needed for client meetings, project coordination, or regional collaboration.
