Geotechnical Project Engineer (PE)

Are you a licensed Professional Engineer who enjoys leading meaningful geotechnical projects from concept through completion? Do you thrive in a role that blends technical excellence, field leadership, and client collaboration? If so, we’d love to talk with you.

We’re seeking a Geotechnical Project Engineer to take ownership of geotechnical engineering projects, provide technical leadership, and mentor team members while delivering high-quality solutions to our clients. This role can be based in Paducah, KY; Belleville, IL; or Brentwood, TN. 

As a Geotechnical Project Engineer, you’ll serve as both a technical expert and project leader, responsible for successful delivery across all phases of work.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

  • Lead geotechnical projects from planning through completion, including scope, budget, schedule, and deliverables
  • Serve as the primary technical and project point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal teams
  • Perform and oversee geotechnical analyses, designs, and interpretation of field and laboratory data
  • Plan and manage subsurface exploration programs and coordinate field operations and resources.
  • Prepare, review, and seal professional geotechnical engineering reports
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to business development and client relationship efforts

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Geological Engineering
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license (or ability to obtain via reciprocity)
  • 5+ years of progressive geotechnical engineering experience
  • Valid driver’s license
