Job description

Job Overview

Verdantas is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our team in New Hampshire. This role focuses on design and permitting of recreational, municipal, commercial, residential, and institutional projects across northern New England.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead civil engineering design of recreational, municipal, commercial, residential, and institutional projects.
  • Work with AutoCAD Civil 3D to produce design drawings and reports.
  • Prepare permits and reports related to civil engineering projects.
  • Design site grading, drainage, drinking water treatment, distribution, storage, wastewater collection, roads, trails, and pedestrian facilities.
  • Serve as point person for technical design and permit application preparation; report directly to the Project Manager.
  • Act as engineer of record and stamp reports, plans, drainage calculations, and other documents.
  • Mentor fellow engineers and conduct QA/QC review.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (or related field) required; higher education preferred.
  • NH Professional Engineer license required; VT, ME, MA preferred.
  • 9+ years of professional experience in civil engineering in northern New England or similar setting.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and stormwater modeling software such as HydroCAD, WaterCAD or similar; Bluebeam.
  • Technical experience in water and wastewater infrastructure, stormwater, site design, and permitting in New Hampshire or similar regulatory environment.
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering fundamentals: stormwater/drainage, surface water hydrology, water and sewer systems, roadway/parking design.
  • Strong technical skills and ability to work independently while maintaining clear communication with project teams and clients.
  • Valid driver’s license; occasional travel required.
  • Ability to complete field work, carrying equipment and walking on undeveloped sites.
Salary Range

The starting salary for this position is $95,000, with final compensation determined based on qualifications, experience, and licensing status.
