Job Summary:

The Engineering Applications Lead will manage the firm's engineering application portfolio, ensuring stability and alignment with business needs while leading support and improvement activities.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Own the operational health and service delivery model for the engineering applications portfolio.
โ€ข Establish and maintain support processes, service expectations, escalation paths, and operating rhythms for engineering platforms.
โ€ข Partner with Engineering, IT, and business stakeholders to define priorities, manage trade-offs, and ensure application services align with operational needs.
โ€ข Monitor service performance, recurring issues, and portfolio risks and drive actions to improve stability, usability, and support effectiveness.
โ€ข Maintain visibility into application health, major incidents, upgrade readiness, and key service metrics.
โ€ข Lead response coordination for major issues impacting engineering applications and ensure appropriate escalation, communication, and resolution follow-through.
โ€ข Establish disciplined incident, problem, and change management practices for the engineering application portfolio.
โ€ข Identify trends in support demand and recurring issues and drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
โ€ข Balance urgent production support needs with planned maintenance, upgrades, and continuous improvement work.

Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in engineering, information systems, computer science, construction technology, or a related field is required.
โ€ข Equivalent years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
โ€ข 7+ years of experience supporting, administering, or managing engineering/design applications in architecture, engineering, construction, or a related environment required.
โ€ข Strong working knowledge of engineering/design platforms such as Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, BIM 360, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Forma, or similar ecosystems required.
โ€ข Demonstrated experience with application lifecycle management, including upgrades, version control, release planning, issue resolution, and operational support required.
โ€ข Experience managing stakeholder priorities, vendor relationships, and cross-functional coordination across business and technology teams required.
โ€ข Experience leading or coordinating support processes, service improvements, and platform governance required.
โ€ข Experience with software configuration, plug-in management, environment standards, and compatibility considerations across engineering platforms required.
โ€ข Strong communication, documentation, prioritization, and organizational skills required.
Preferred:
โ€ข Prior people leadership or team coordination experience preferred.
โ€ข Experience with incident, problem, and change management practices preferred.
โ€ข Experience with automation tools, APIs, scripting, or engineering platform customizations is preferred.
