Job description

Responsible for placing safety as #1 priority in day-to-day work routine for self and others. Responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of construction, inspection, and data collection for permanent records. Acts as construction manager on major construction projects in the areas of safety, construction, materials handling and management, outside contractors and personnel. Works closely with engineers to design, plan, and construct pipeline and facility projects. Manages third party construction activity needs related to capital projects.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • A working knowledge of gas utility, pipeline construction or facility construction industry at a level normally acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field or equivalent experience; and
  • Three years of progressively responsible applied/practical experience in the gas utility, pipeline construction, or facility construction industry; and
  • Two years leadership and/or supervisory experience.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
  • Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorships considered.
  • Required to maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Requires travel - extensive overnight (up to 60%) throughout the service territory.
  • May be subject to the Company's DOT's Substance Abuse Testing Program.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledgeable in API 1104 welding requirements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides safe working conditions and equipment on the job and enforces safety rules to prevent injury.
  • Serves as the point of contact on assigned construction projects and coordinates with project engineer(s) and project manager.
  • Communicates and coordinates with project engineers, project managers, contractors, and inspectors about daily progress, modifications of plans, problems and solutions on construction projects.
  • Supervises assigned construction projects including providing construction site reviews which may include daily site inspections to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, regulatory requirements, company procedures, standards, and codes.
  • Supervises, coordinates, and provides on-boarding of contract construction crews and contract inspectors, and inspects the work.
  • Assists with the development of project schedules, and monitors manpower, expenditures, and timelines to ensure that projects are completed on time and on budget.
  • Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.
