Originally built in 1908 by scion Alfred Gwynne Vanderbilt, the property is the coastal city’s social hub and a vibrant, historic gem waiting to be explored. Lead our engineering team and oversee all aspects of the engineering and maintenance operations for the property.  Play a key role in ensuring the appearance, functionality and integrity of the property are optimized while implementing strategies that support efficiency and sustainability.  

• Focus on providing efficient service that contributes to meaningful guest experiences and maintains the physical assets at their highest level.
• Emphasis on planning, organizing and directing activities that are concerned with the maintenance structures, facilities and systems.
• Mentor and inspire a team of engineers fostering a culture of accountability, excellence and proactive maintenance practices.

• Minimum of five years’ experience as a Chief Engineer in a hospitality field.
• Proven leadership, management and administrative skills.
• Successful management of key talent and culture processes to include recruiting, performance management and team and culture development.
• Extensive knowledge of building trades and overall mechanics of building operations and maintenance.
